Sam Balsdon, 73 years young and from Devon, is travelling to Iceland this summer to raise funds for FCN by undertaking the Great Norse Run.
He will travel 209 miles on foot over 10 days across terrain that includes glaciers, volcanoes, rivers and caves.

The run is described as an ‘unrace’. It is not a competition, but a journey of self-discovery, endurance and community.
Sam lost his father, a diary farmer, in sad circumstances when he was when he was just 4 years old.
He says, “I live amongst the farming community and testify to the hard work our farmers do in all weathers, very often on their own and for extremely long hours. There is no let up. I would be very grateful if you could make a donation via Just Giving if you are able.”

We hope he has a wonderful adventure!
