We are extremely proud to be the charity partner of the Farmers Weekly #BritainsFittestFarmer competition again this year. The competition really is going from strength to strength, having been part of the summer show scene since 2018.
Applications begin online, where competitors need to show that they are strong ambassadors for health and well-being in farming.
Heats take place at Cereals Event (11th-12th June) and the Lincolnshire Showground (17th-18th June), before the final in September.
There are 4 categories – men under 40, women under 40, men over 40, and women over 40. Teams of 4 people can also register their interest: Britain’s Fittest Farm Team: Register your interest
Lincolnshire farmer, Will Arden, 2024 champion and owner of The Farmyard Gym, will return for a second year as Head Judge.
FCN will be there to cheer all the competitors on, as well as being part of the panel at the interview stage of the competition (after the heats) which will focus on their understanding of mental health.
We’re very aware that physical fitness and mental fitness are intrinsically linked, and spending time away from the farm to exercise or play sport is hugely beneficial. 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 – 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀.
