The many months of planning by the Staffordshire FCN team certainly paid off when over 400 people came together on 1st November for the FCN Farmers Ball to mark 30 years of the charity. It was truly humbling to see so many people gather together at the Ingestre Suite at Staffordshire County Showground simply to celebrate and applaud the agricultural community. The event could not have happened without the generous support of sponsors and donators of auction and raffle prizes. The night was always going to be about having fun, but the Staffordshire team are extremely proud to announce that the total raised for the charity has hit an amazing £25,000!
One of the highlights was hearing Andy and Lynda Eadon speak about their Len’s Light initiative and the importance of self-care and simply talking. As always, the most moving of speeches, that brought tears to the eyes of all, not only from empathy but from laughter. Thank you to the Staffordshire volunteer team for their hard work organising such an incredible event.
