On Sunday 5th October harvest services in recognition and support of the work of FCN took place at Canterbury Cathedral, Norwich Cathedral and St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
Canterbury Cathedral
Thank you to the FCN team of volunteers, trustees and staff members who attended a beautiful Harvest Evensong at Canterbury Cathedral. Many thanks to the team at the Cathedral for holding such a lovely and welcoming service and to FCN volunteer Revd Chris Hodgkins for such an inspiring sermon.
This was a timely opportunity for our community to come together and to celebrate the vital work of farmers across the country – and the importance of charities such as FCN in being here to support people in need.
This year marks FCN’s 30th anniversary – three decades of ‘walking with’ farmers and their families during difficult times and periods of change.

Norwich Cathedral
Thank you to the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, YANA, RABI and the Norfolk Community Foundation for their involvement in the lovely Harvest Service at Norfolk Cathedral on Sunday 5th October.
Royal Norfolk Show President Poul Hovesen and his wife Alison, RNAA Chairman Rob Alston, representatives from the RNAA and Nourishing Norfolk, were on hand to load donations with Norfolk Young Farmers & Countrysiders. Norfolk Young Farmers’ also provided a variety of delicious cakes.

St Edmundsbury Cathedral
Thank you to FCN volunteers Geoff, Jamie, Richard, Ed and Graham for representing FCN at this Harvest Service at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Sunday 5th October. The Love British Food Harvest Torch (photographed, bottom) has journeyed across Suffolk in 2025, including the South Suffolk Show, Hadleigh Show & Suffolk Show with the help of FCN. The Suffolk Harvest Festival is the last stop in Suffolk before it heads to Westminster Abbey for the National Harvest Festival on 16th October. (Photo Credit to Geoff Hall)
