55 FCN volunteers from Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Northumberland gathered at the Pavilions at The Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate on 25th September to celebrate FCN’s 30th Anniversary.
They were joined by our CEO Jude McCann and FCN staff from the region to hear updates, reports and recollections from each county, which were full of positivity and fascinating to hear. Many thanks particularly to Brian Armstrong, Martyn Johnson and Howard Petch for their wonderful memories, stretching all the way back to 1995, and for their dedication and commitment to their counties. Canon Leslie Morley offered a prayer for the charity, followed by Grace before a delicious Afternoon Tea.
The guest speaker at the event was Denys Fell, a farmer from East Yorkshire, who recently shared his experience of being diagnosed with cancer in 2024 to highlight our partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support. Georgina then presented Sally Steadman with some flowers, thanking her for her many years involved with FCN as a volunteer and Trustee. Thank you so much to all involved!
