The Farming Community Network (FCN) welcomes the report published by the Worshipful Company of Farmers, the University of Lincoln and Rose Regeneration about the growing need to support Britain’s farming families in the future.
This validates the long-adopted mission of FCN and many of its sister charities working in the agricultural industry.
For some time, FCN has recognised the need for industry-wide participation in the support of our farming community and works closely with organisations such as the NFU, TFA, Defra, Trading Standards, Health Authorities, commercial stakeholders and other farming charities across the country.
We are encouraged by the level of involvement with these organisations and are confident that this will result in a much-improved breadth of support for farmers and their families. Notwithstanding the great work that has already been undertaken, FCN continues to work towards ever-greater integration of farming support services and is pleased to see that our strategy aligns perfectly with the recommendations of this report. We are actively working on a number of initiatives to this end and if anyone would like to be involved, please get in touch with us. Call our head office on 01788 510 866 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to working with the Worshipful Company of Farmers and the rest of the industry as we all seek to provide even more holistic support to Britain’s farmers and their families.
