Arco, providers of the UK’s biggest range of personal protective equipment, have pledged their support to FCN by producing some branded fleeces for the charity’s volunteers.
The North-West branch of Arco, which covers Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales, produced the fleeces, worth approximately £500 in total, which will be worn by volunteers in those respective areas.
Lee Pickering, Regional Sales Manager with Arco North-West said: "I was delighted to be able to agree on Behalf of Arco Ltd a donation of 26 branded fleeces to FCN to be issued to their volunteers working in my region.
“Despite now working for Arco one of the UK's largest distributors of safety products and services, my personal roots are within agriculture, having worked many years ago on both beef, pedigree Charolais and commercial sheep farms. I have had a long held wish to find some small way of giving something back to the industry and those that support it and I felt that FCN as an organisation are an exemplar of a charity that provides support to those in agriculture who most need it.
“FCN Volunteers do a great job within an industry that has gone through and will continue to go through a huge amount of change in the coming years. I look forward to supporting Vicki and the team in whatever capacity we are able to in the future."
