Funding the work we do

What it costs to run FCN & where does our funding come from?

At present, FCN costs around £1,500 a day to run. Our volunteers give freely of their time but are reimbursed for their travel expenses and for the cost of phone calls etc.

As with any organisation, FCN incurs costs for insurance, communications, salaries, training, office accommodation, heating and lighting, bank charges, auditors fees, stationery and literature plus dozens of other incidental but unavoidable expenses.

You can see from our latest Reports & Accounts to 31 March 2015 how our funds are spent and also from where we derive our income.

We have some income from statutory funding but rely, heavily, on donations and grants from various charitable trusts, churches, fundraising events and donations from corporate bodies and individuals.
